Deliver streams to IPTV apps and set-top boxes
StreamDev automatically generates M3U playlists that list all of your active streams in a format compatible with virtually every IPTV player. The playlist URL is available from the dashboard and can be shared with end-user devices. Each entry in the M3U file includes the stream name, logo, category, and playback URL. Playlists update dynamically as you add or remove streams.
Provide your viewers with a TV-like channel guide. StreamDev generates an XMLTV-format EPG that IPTV apps use to display current and upcoming programming. You can import EPG data from external XMLTV sources or manage program schedules directly within the dashboard. The EPG URL is served alongside your M3U playlist for easy device configuration.
StreamDev implements the Xtream Codes API, allowing devices and apps that support this protocol to connect using a server URL, username, and password. This is the most widely supported connection method for IPTV set-top boxes and mobile apps. Users simply enter the API credentials into their device, and they get access to live streams, categories, and the EPG automatically.
Organize your streams into logical categories (e.g., News, Sports, Entertainment, Music) to make navigation easy for viewers. Categories appear in the IPTV player's channel list and can be reordered, renamed, or hidden at any time from the StreamDev dashboard. Well-organized categories improve the viewer experience, especially when managing a large number of streams.
Control exactly which devices can access your streams by filtering on MAC addresses. When MAC filtering is enabled, only devices whose MAC address has been registered in the dashboard will be able to connect. This is commonly used by IPTV service operators to manage subscriber access and prevent unauthorized viewing.
Tip: You can find a device's MAC address in its network settings menu. Add it to the allowed list in StreamDev before the device attempts to connect.
StreamDev works with a wide range of IPTV players and hardware:
Any application that supports M3U playlists, XMLTV EPG, or the Xtream Codes API will work with StreamDev out of the box.
